Odethe Antje Klefsky, 81, of Snowflake died at home Aug. 2, 2008. She was born Nov. 4, 1926, in Recife Brazil to Karl Gerhard Woortmann and Cecilia Louisa Conceicao de Cunna Woortmann.
She graduated from high school and lived in Brazil until she was 24 years old. On Dec. 12, 1950, she married Robert Steven Klefsky in Brazil. During their marriage, Robert spent 35 years in the military which gave them the opportunity to live in Chicago for three years, Alaska for six years and Maryland for 46 years.
During those years, they had three children. Her dear husband Robert passed away Feb. 11, 1994. Odethe loved to sew and to give. She was also an animal lover and was always at home for her children. At one time she was Lutheran and then became a Catholic. For the past two years she lived with her son, Eric Klefksy, and his family in Snowflake.
She is survived by son Eric Wesley (Jeaneane Ruth) Klefsky of Snowflake and two daughters, Norine Louise Gray of Junction City, Kan., and Lenora Christine (Steve Ballard) Dameron of Suitland, Md. She also leaves 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Sept. 5 at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.
Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor handled arrangements.
