Elizabeth Stradling Sherwood, beloved daughter of Floy and Frank Stradling, died July 31, 2008, at her home in Lenaxa, Kan. She was born July 15, 1959.
Liz was an outstanding athlete throughout her young life. Her class 1978 was the first to graduate from the new high school in Show Low. She was a track star winning many honors and awards in sport events. She was raised on a large cattle ranch in Northeastern Arizona. As a skilled cowgirl she loved the western lifestyle and working with her family. To know Liz was to love her.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she especially enjoyed working with the young women's organization. Her greatest love in life was her family and the many, many dear friends she made throughout her lifetime. Liz will be warmly remembered and greatly missed by her friends and family.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Sherwood, children Cortne, Eleese, Dalton and Shadow Sherwood; her mother, Floy Stradling; sisters, Kathleen Hansen and Karen Butler; and brothers Frank, John and Joe Paul Stradling.
Liz's father, Frank Stradling, and her brother, Floyd Stradling, preceded her in death.
