LUPE, Marklin (Larry Bird)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ December 10, 2010 Marklin Lupe also known as "Larry Bird" of Whiteriver entered into rest Dec. 1, 2010, at the Oddesy Hospice Facility in Mesa. He was born Feb. 11, 1969, in Whiteriver. He is survived by his mother Velma Davis; sisters, Lavenia Way, Lavita Tessay, Lavonne Tessay, Syndee Lupe; brothers: Levitto Tessay Jr., Roscoe Lupe, Russell Lupe Jr., Ronald Lupe; brother-in-law Alfredo Way Jr.; niece Haley Renee Thompson; nephew Lavitto LaWayne Thompson; and many uncles, aunts, relatives and friends. A two night wake started at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at Shirley Burnette's residence in Canyon Day. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 11, at 1 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Canyon Day, with Pastor Marvin Begay officiating. Interment will be at the Canyon Day Cemetery in Canyon Day. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
