HAWS, Jeffrey Onie

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ June 30, 2008 Jeffrey Onie Haws died June 15, 2008, in Portland, Ore. He was born July 10, 1957, in Portland, Ore. At the age of 17, Jeffrey started working at the Portland shipyards. He was a rigger with Dillingham ship repair, Northwest Marine Ironworks, Weststates Inc. and Cascade General. When work slowed down and after 18 years, he quit the shipyards and began working for his niece and nephew, Kim and Tony Schneider, at A-1 Light Truck and Vans where this past Father's Day Jeffrey had a heart attack and died there in the wrecking yard. He is survived by his wife of 30 years; five children, Angela Killam, Amy, Darold Kattie and Donald Haws; seven grandchildren, Cortany Alyssa Jeffrey Jaiden Kaelynn Joliena and Cheyennne; great-nephew Bobby Schneider, who has been more like their grandchild; two sons-in-law, Nicholas Killam and Joshua Rodriguez, and daughter-in-law Tiffany Haws (Conn). He was preceded in death by his parents, Darold and Virgina Haws; and brothers Larry, Monty and David Haws. Services have been held.
