LATIMER, William Duncan, Jr.


William Duncan Latimer Jr., 72, of Camp Verde, Az, passed away January 12, 2004. He lost his 2+ years battle with Aplastic Anemia but won a front row seat in God's Heaven. He was born in South Kingston, Rhode Island and had been an Arizona resident since 1974. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean conflict. He spent his entire working career in the grocery business, retiring with 34 years from the last company, Alpha Beta. Bill loved to travel and see the world and did so, extensively with his wife of nearly 46 years. He was an avid gardener, loved working in his iris beds and took great pride in all that he did in life. He is survived by his wife Linda and their children, Larry Latimer (Karolann), Brenda McDonald (Dugan), Barbara Hurley (Kenny) Lance Latimer and 7 grandchildren. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers, that in his honor, you may make a donation in the form of blood or funds to the American Red Cross, 6210 E. Oak St, Scottsdale AZ 85257 C/O Bill J. A memorial has already been held, by remembering and being part of the wonderful times the family and Bill had with his friends coming to visit, the many phone calls and the short trips he was able to take during his lengthy illness - Thank you.
