Kirk A. Murphy, 38, beloved son, brother and friend passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2003. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on July 24, 1965.
Kirk graduated from Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Montana, in 1983 and served in the United States Air Force as a Chinese Linguist from 1984-1992. Assignments in the Air Force included Osan Air Base, Korea and the National Security Agency at Fort Meade, Maryland.
Kirk moved to Phoenix in December 1992 where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ottawa University and a Masters of Arts Degree from the University of Phoenix. He had a successful career as a Supervisor in Conversions at Bowne of Phoenix, his latest assignment being for Bowne as a training liaison in New Delhi, India. Kirk enjoyed spending free time camping, listening to music, and being in the company of his many friends.
He is survived by his mother, Kay Murphy of Hayden, ID; his brother, Mark Murphy of Hayden, ID; his sister, Maris Ehlers of Loretto, MN; a niece and nephew; numerous close personal friends; and his beloved dog Roxy.
A service was held Saturday, January 17th at Grimshaw Bethany Chapel in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kirk A. Murphy HHS Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Solomon Smith Barney, 1233 Northwood Center Ct., Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814.
