Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Saturday, December 11, 2010 Melba Lee Joe Neal, 76, of Flagstaff, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010. Mrs. Neal was born Feb. 9, 1934, in Quickman, Miss., to proud parents Angeline Chapman and Lumm Moss. She and her parents moved to Flagstaff in 1936. She attended Dunbar Elementary School, Flagstaff Junior High School and Flagstaff High School. She was employed as a bartender and maid, but most importantly, she was a homemaker. She is survived by her children, Melvin (Ruth) Neal of Flagstaff, Steve (Savannah) Neal and Joe Crowe of Phoenix, and Ruby Pearl and Angeline Crowe of Flagstaff; brothers Artis Moss of Phoenix, and Robert (Rosie) and Clyde (Virginia) Joe of Flagstaff; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She also leaves a host of nephews, nieces and other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by children Virginia Neal, Brenda Neal and Robert Neal. She was also preceded in death by sisters Betsy Barrett, Helen Barrett, Ethel Hinkle, Beatrice Barrett and Leila Mae Tate. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66. A funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Norvel Owens Mortuary.
