BROWN, Florence (Flo)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ July 17, 2008 Florence "Flo" Brown, 89, died July 15, 2008, at her residence in Eagar. She was born Oct. 8, 1918, in Greenport, N.Y., to Virgil and Maud Christiana. On April 19, 1941, she married Harold Brown. Flo enjoyed volunteering at senior centers and hospitals as "Flo Bell the Clown."She will be greatly missed by her family and all of her bingo buddies. She is survived by son Stuart Brown of Tucson; daughter Dianne (Doug) Strickland of Eagar; four granddaughters, Heather, Cari Lynn, Christiana and Stephanie; and six great-grandchildren, Riley, Bradley, Brianna, Dana, Zachary and Katlyn. Flo was preceded in death by her husband and parents. A graveside service will be held Friday, July 18, at 10 a.m. at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, 401 N. Hayden Road, in Scottsdale. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the local humane society. Burnham Mortuary of Eagar handled the arrangements.
