HARRELL, John Malcolm, Sr.

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, December 11, 2010 John Malcolm Harrell Sr., 68, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Glendale, Calif., on Dec. 27, 1941, to Malcolm and Grace Harrell. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Naomi; their four children, John Harrell Jr., Judith Meadows, Jennifer Riley and Janice Peterson; and 11 grandchildren, all of who reside in the Prescott and Prescott Valley area. He also leaves behind one sister, Clara Grace Harrell, of Prescott Valley, Ariz. A devoted family man, that devotion stretched to include other "adopted" individuals. He will be sadly missed. John spent 50 years in the newspaper circulation industry. He spent the last 19 years as the circulation director for Prescott Newspapers Inc. No services have been scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in memory of John to the Good Samaritan Prescott Hospice, Marley House, 1065 Ruth St., Prescott, AZ 86301. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home is assisting the family with the final arrangements. Information provided by survivors.
