SHANKS, Dennis Michael (Mike)

Dennis Michael Shanks (Mike), 62, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away January 10, 2004, in Scottsdale. Mike was born October 24, 1941 in Los Angeles, CA. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Mike was a painting contractor and an active member of the Painting and Decorating Contractors Association, the Arizona Contractors Association and he served on the Painters Trust Fund Board. His passions included traveling, golf and theatre. He is survived by his true love and wife of 17 years Pamela, 2 sons Michael and Matthew, 2 daughters Deanna and Lacey and 6 grandchildren. Mike's glass was not only half full but flowing. That positive outlook on life will be missed by all. A service was held Friday January 23, 2004 at St. Patrick's Church, 10815 N. 84th St. Scottsdale, and a Celebration of Life at the Scottsdale Ranch Community Center, 10585 N. 100th St. Scottsdale. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Research Center, Resource Center 500 W. Thomas Road, #720, Phoenix, AZ 85013.
