The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ May 29, 2008 Rebecca Kane entered into rest Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at the Indian Health Service hospital in Whiteriver. She was born May 10, 1940, in Whiteriver. Rebecca is survived by her children, Rayleen Kane, Rayetta Kane, Ramona Armstrong and Charles Astor; son-in-law Rolland Armstrong III; sisters Katherine Colelay, Kathleen Goode; brother-in-law Kino Kane; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond P. Kane, and daughter Beverly Jean Massey. Rebecca's body was brought back to her home Thursday, May 29, for a one-night wake and rosary. The eulogy and final viewing will take place at her home Friday, May 30, at 9 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Whiteriver with Father Ed Fronske officiating. Interment will be at the Red Hillside Cemetery in Cedar Creek. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled the arrangements.
