Mary Cruz, 88, passed away Thursday, June 5, in Whiteriver.
She was born Feb. 27, 1920, in East Fork to the late Oscar and Bessie (Forrest) Call.
A two-day wake will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 12, in Quintero Springs. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, with location pending.

Mary Cruz, 88, went home to be with the Lord Thursday June 5, 2008, in Whiteriver. She was born Feb. 27, 1920, in East Fork to the late Oscar and Bessie (Forrest) Call.
Mary not only touched the lives of her family but all those around her. She always had a smile and a laugh that could brighten any room. Mary loved to spend all her time outdoors. She loved to read especially stories from the Bible and stories about Cinderella. She enjoyed watching her western movies and "Little House on the Prairie." But her biggest joy was being around her family and the ones she loved.
Mary is survived by her five daughters, Juanita Mosby, Katherine Cosay, Gloria Williams, Tina Cruz and Marcilla Cruz; one son, Manuel Cruz; 23 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Cruz.
A two-day wake will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12, in Quintero Springs. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at the East Fork Lutheran Church. Interment will be at the Dove Street Cemetery.
