Dorothy Irene Brickner, 77, of Wickenburg, died Dec. 21 in Wickenburg Community Hospital. She was born Dec. 6, 1909 in Peoria, Ill.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Butler, of Wickenburg; one son, Robert Butler, of Lynchburg, Va. and three grandchildren.
A 1932 graduate of Bradley University of Peoria, Ill., she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Brickner and infant son, George W. Brickner.
A 38-year resident of Arizona, Brickner was a member of the Eastern Star of Wickenburg, where she was past worthy matron twice; First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg; a former Pink Lady for Wickenburg Community Hospital; a former volunteer to the Desert Caballeros Western Museum; served the advisory board to the Wickenburg Rainbow Girls; former branch president of the American Association of University Women and was a Devoted Older Volunteers in Educational Service for the Wickenburg Unified School District. Memorial services were Dec. 23 at the First Presbyterian Church, Wickenburg, Pastors Bruce McQueen and W.W. Hutchison officiating. Interment was in Wickenburg Cemetery.
The family prefers any memorials be directed to the Wickenburg Library.
Arrangements were made by the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
