DAVIS, James Ivey


Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona January 22, 1987, page 13, 17 James Ivey Davis, 72, of Congress, died Jan. 15 in the Wickenburg Community Hospital. He was a resident of Congress the past 15 years. He was born Jan. 28, 1914 in Alabama. He is survived by his wife, Lois L. Davis, of Congress; three sons, James I. Davis Jr., of Danville, Calif., Donald Wayne Davis, of Chandler and Ken Huie, of Berkley, Calif.; four daughters , Mary Scruggs, of Escondido, Calif., Penny Cameron, of Hayward, Calif., Melinda Rowley of Yarnell and Caroline Renfro, of Madera, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and six great–grandchildren. Davis was a rancher and volunteer fireman in Congress for many years. He served as a member on the Congress Water Company board. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union in California for over 30 years. Memorial services were Jan. 17 at the Wickenburg Funeral Home, Pastor Robert Harrison officiating. Arrangements were made by the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
