Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona January 29, 1987, page 9 Vernon Jean "V.J." Hays, 69, of Wickenburg and Durango, Colo., died Jan. 20 in Wickenburg. He was born June 20, 1917 in Blackwell, Okla. He has been a winter resident of Wickenburg the past Seven years. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hays, of Wickenburg; two sons, Greg Hays, of Wickenburg and Gary Krisman, of Tulsa, Okla.; one daughter, Michele Hays, of San Angelo, Texas; one brother, Boyd Hays, of Stillwell, Okla.; two granddaughters; one grandson; many cousins, nieces and nephews and a dear friend Shirley Schulz.
