Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona March 12, 1987, page 8 Ida Smith, 93, of Las Residenica Nursing Home, Santa Fe. N.M., died March 7. She is survived by one son, Chet Smith, of Pojoaque, New Mexico, five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was followed in death by her husband, Moulton Smith on March 9. Smith spent most of her life in northwestern Nebraska and California before coming to Arizona. She with her husband resided in Wickenburg for many years before moving to New Mexico a few years ago, to be near her son, Chet. She was active in the Wickenburg Camera Club and Wickenburg Gem and Mineral, while residing in Wickenburg. She was a writer and had written articles over the years that were published in The Arizona Highways magazine, nature magazines, gem and mineral magazines and other national magazines. She also wrote and had several poems published in various magazines. Smith and her husband contribute a large portion of their rock collection to the Desert Caballeros Museum before leaving Wickenburg. Services will be conducted by Church of Christ, Los Alamos, N.M., following cremation. Her request is to have her ashes scattered over Wickenburg.
