Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona April 23, 1987, page 5 Mary Ann Carter, 58, of Phoenix, died April 15 at Humana Hospital, Phoenix. She was born April 14, 1929 in Humboldt, Ariz. She is survived by a daughter, Laura Arvin, of Phoenix; a son, Bill Carter, of Lake Havasu City; a sister, Shirley Hershkowitz and a brother, Bill Hoffman, both of Wickenburg and one grandson, Shaun Arvin, of Phoenix. An Arizona native, Cater lived in Wickenburg many years. She was employed as chief operator for the telephone company in Wickenburg before transferring to Phoenix as evening chief operator. A private cremation was arranged by Brown Colonial Mortuary, Phoenix.
