MONNETT, Rex Melvin


Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona June 4 1987, page 2 Rex Melvin Monnett, 57, was buried in graveside services in the St. George City Cemetery in St. George, Utah, following his death in that community May 25. Mr. Monnett, who was a Wickenburg resident, worked in the St. George area as a handyman and gardener. According to reports from the Daily Spectrum newspaper in St. George, Monnett was found dead in a vacant lot in that community. Authorities said there appeared to be no injuries or signs of violence. Monnett was born Dec. 25, 1929 in Long Bell, Okla., to George and Pansy Phelps Monnett. His mother preceded him in death in 1985. He was a member of the LDS Church. He is survived by two brothers, Harold James Monnett of Morristown, and Glenn “Brownie” Monnett of LaVerkin, Utah.
