No services were planned for Lewis C. “Bob” White of Wickenburg, who died June 4 in the Wickenburg Community Hospital.
Cremation was conducted by the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
Mr. White was born May 15, 1903 in Washington, D. C. He moved to Arizona in 1922.
He was a longtime area cattleman and guest ranch owner who started the Remuda Guest Ranch in 1925.
He operated the Monte Vista Guest ranch with his wife for 20 years, and continued in the cattle business until recently.
During his 65 years in the community he was active in numerous civic projects and was president of many services clubs, including the Rotary, Country Club, as well as the White Land and Investment Co.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Edith; two brother, John I. White of New Jersey and H.A. “Luke” White of Wickenburg, a sister, Grace W. Hammond of Tucson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers contributions instead be made to the Wickenburg community Hospital Memorial Fund.
