Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona June 18 1987, page 2 Services for Russell August Schlieker of Wickenburg were conducted Monday at the First Southern Baptist Church in Wickenburg. Rev. Delbert R. Henderson officiated. Mr. Schlieker, 81, died June 13 in Wickenburg Community Hospital. He was born May 27, 1906 in Meredosia, Ill. He attended rural country grade school in Illinois, and was married to his wife, Ruby, who survives him, in November 1926. He farmed in Meredosia until moving to Arizona in 1949, later settling in Wickenburg where he owned and operated a taxicab business until 1957. He later worked as a maintenance engineer of Rancho Grande resort until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Wickenburg. Survivors include his wife of 60 years; a sister Laurel Huebner, of Ava, Ill.; a daughter, Mina Garnand, a son Ronald Schlieker, and two grandchildren, all of Wickenburg.
