Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona July 30, 1987, page 2 Services were conducted at the Church of Christ in El Frida Tuesday for Elva J. Seale, who died July 23 at the Sandretto Hill Care Center in Prescott. Burial followed in the McNeal Cemetery in McNeal. Mrs. Seale, 96, was born July 13, 1891 in Bander County, Texas. Her husband, James Brantley Seale, preceded her in death in 1967. She came to Douglas in 1912 as a young bride, and the couple ranched for many years in Sulphur Springs Valley east of El Frida. She was an active member of the Valley Women’s Club, the Farm Bureau Association and the Church of Christ. Survivors include four daughters, Elinor McAlister of Congress; Bernice Brown of Lenore, Idaho; Fern Hoffman of Eugene, Ore,; and Barbara Terry of Clovis, Calif.; two sons, Dalton Seale of El Frida; and Gerald Seale of Albuquerque, N.M.; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
