Evelyn Lorene Jones was born on January 23rd, 1916 in Damascus, Ohio. Her homegoing occurred on January 16th, 2004 at Immanuel Campus of Care Hospice in Peoria, AZ. Evelyn was born into a devoutly Christian home. Her parents were Clarence and Maggie (Pim) Cosand. Evelyn's college education included degrees from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. Later, while teaching in Cleveland, she earned the Masters of Arts degree in music at Western Reserve University. She was a music teacher. On June 26, 1954 she was united in marriage with the Rev. Kenneth Jones. In their years of Pastoral ministry they served churches in Indiana, Ohio and Arizona. A radiant Christian, her gentle spirit, and her ministry in music. especially at the piano were all greatly appreciated. Evelyn was pre-deceased by her parents and her sister Theda. She is survived by her husband, brother, Rev. Rendel Cosand and wife, Mary of Nashville, Tennessee, three nephews and their families: Dr. Wesley Cosand of Pipersville PA; Professor Walter Cosand of Tempe, AZ. and Mr. Watson Cosand of Nashville. Monday, January 19, 2004, a viewing was held at Lundberg Mortuary White Rose Chapel, 5310 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale, AZ. Tuesday, January 20, 2004 a Memorial service was held at Glencroft Community Church, 8611 N. 67th Ave., Glendale. AZ.
