The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ Thursday, December 23, 2010 Sarah Elizabeth “Betty” Bullard (1915-2010) Sarah Elizabeth “Betty” Bullard age 95 of Mitchell, NE. died Sunday December 19, 2010 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday December 22, 2010 at New Hope Assembly of God Church in Mitchell with Pastor Brad Staman officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 PM on Tuesday at Jones Mortuary in Mitchell. Visitation will resume after 6 PM at the church with a Prayer Service at 7 PM also at the church. Memorials may be directed to New Hope Assembly of God Church. Her obituary may be viewed at www.jones-mortuary.com, where condolences may be left. Betty was born on February 2, 1915 in Camp Verde, AZ. She was the daughter of Sylvester and Pearl Durfee. She was a native of Arizona. She was united in marriage to James W. Bullard on February 20, 1931 in Phoenix, AZ. She drove a school bus and ran a lunch stand at the Buckeye High School. She also ran a dairy farm with her husband and sons. The Bullards were also real estate investors and owned a rock shop. Both James and Betty retired and traveled the country. Survivors include her sons James B. and (Vera) Bullard of Camp Verde, AZ. Harold Bullard of Camp Verde, AZ and Arthur and (Annabel) Bullard of Mitchell, NE. Betty had many great and great-great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by parents Sylvester and Pearl Durfee, husband James W. Bullard, son Ervin Ray Bullard, sister Thelma, and brothers Harold and Jimmy. Info provided by family members.
