KOWALZYK, Ronny Allen

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Tuesday, December 14, 2010 Ronny Allen Kowalzyk was born on Jan. 24, 1942 in Globe, Ariz. He was lovingly reared by parents, June and Jim Kowalzyk with his younger brother, Jimmy. He attended East Globe Elementary and graduated from Globe High School in 1960. He furthered his education at the Aeronautical Engineering School (CA) UNM at Las Cruces and Arizona State University. He married Helen Smyers on Aug. 17, 1963. They have three children: Amber (Toby) Brooks, Jeff and Andrea Kowalzyk-Ybarra (Micheal). Ron served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. Ron worked throughout his life in the auto parts industry as well as the real estate field. He is survived by his immediate family, three grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, nieces and nephews and a myriad of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Kowalzyk and grandmother, Ora Tuttle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Banner Heart Hospital (Phoenix) or Globe High School. A memorial service was held on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010 at Pinal Mountain Elks Lodge in Globe. Assisting the family is Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
