IRVING, SR., Gary

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, December 22, 2010 Gary Irving, Sr. age 61, of Peridot, Ariz. passed away on Dec. 10, 2010 at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, Ariz. He was born in San Carlos on Saturday, April 2, 1949, the son of Nelson and Alice Irving. Gary worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in the Maintenance Department. He attended Sherman High School in Riverside, Calif. He enjoyed being outdoors, watching T.V., doing beadwork and being around his family and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Emily Irving in 2002; his parents and foster mother. Gary is survived by his children, Gary (Darnella) Irving, Jr., Geralynn (Frank) Tarango, Gerald Irving, and Garrick Irving; his brother, Danny Irving; foster brothers, Ronald, Eddie, Virgil, Arthur, and Johnny Edwards; sisters, Tenelia May and Mary Ann Burdette; foster sisters, Josephine Smith, Marion Cassadore, Mabeline Talgo, Norma Tessay, Marthalyn Machuse and Margaret Cronwell. A wake was held on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010 at the Irving Residence. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 at St. Charles Catholic Church in San Carlos, Ariz. Assisting the family is Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
