Ida M. Snyder, (nee Harding) age 85, at home and surrounded by those who loved her most, gently joined her beloved Savior on Friday, January 16, 2004.
Ida was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 10, 1918, the oldest daughter of Walter and Mabel Harding. She married John W. Snyder on January 28, 1950 and spent many years of her life in Muskegon, Michigan, before moving to Maumee, Ohio then to Apache Junction, Arizona where she has resided for the past 15 years.
Ida was a proud member of King of Kings Lutheran Church, U.S. Service Wives Club, Housewives Bowling League, Cub Scout Leader, Parent Volunteer at Bluffton Elementary School, as well as a devoted wife and mother. She worked for Libbey Glass in Toledo, Ohio, Ray's Flowers in Muskegon, Michigan, and co-owned and operated the Vista Motel in Muskegon Heights, Michigan.
Ida was predeceased by her husband John, grandson Donovan Snyder, four brothers Walter, Wes, Harris, and Eugene Harding, and one sister Mary Jane Gatton. She will be sadly missed by her sister and best friend Luella McAllister, daughter Louella Goetz (Peter) of Calgary Alberta, son Thomas Snyder (Cindy) of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Four grandchildren, Jennifer Maclean (Garry), Tara Braun (Jim), Corey Snyder (Asher), and Jeremiah Snyder; 7 great grandchildren - Megan & Lyssa Maclean, Hannah Braun, Bryce, Alexandria, Delanie, and Raylin Snyder; beloved nieces Joanne Tandler & Linda Wisnieski, as well as 1 great nephew and 4 great nieces and their families.
Funeral service was held Friday, January 23, 2004, with Visitation prior to the service at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 812 N. Meridian Rd., Apache Junction, AZ 85220. Flowers or memorial donations to the organ fund may be sent to the Church. Burial will take place at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd. in Chandler.
