Glendale -- Mariana Martinez Barrera, 86, a homemaker, died May 9, 1986, at Phoenix General Hospital.  

Mrs. Barrera, of Glendale, moved to Arizona 74 years ago from Mexico, where she was born.  

Survivors include daughters, Mary Higuera, Katie Lopez and Anita Moreno; sons, Ray, John and Carlos; one sister; one brother, 43 grandchildren; 93 grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.  

Friends may call and rosary at Chapel of the Chimes, 7924 N. 59th Ave.  Services Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 5614 W. Orangewood.
