FINSTAD, Daniel (Trapper Dan)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ May 15, 2008 Daniel "Trapper Dan" Finstad, 71, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, in Springerville. He was born April 2, 1937, in West St. Paul City, Minn. Daniel served in the United States Army in Special Forces. He worked for Salt River Project in St. Johns for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, predator trapping and fishing, He is survived by his wife, Sandra Finstad of St. Johns; daughters Patricia (Johnny) Anderson of Blythe, Calif., and Mary Sue Wagner of Phoenix; four grandchildren, Nicole, Aaron Michael, Loren and Michelle; and great-granddaughter Allison Ruby. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, May 17, at 1:30 p.m. at First Southern Baptist Church in St. Johns. Burnham Mortuary of St. Johns handled the arrangements.
