Jarrett E. Peck, 63, of Snowflake passed away April 3, 2008, at RTA Hospice in Lakeside. He was born July 13, 1944, in Waynesville, Mo., to Ernest and Maxine (Sullivan) Peck.
He graduated from Bethalto Union High and worked for Olin Corporation before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.
While stationed at Luke Air Force Base he met and married Andrea Frost in the Mesa Arizona Temple March 4, 1967. They were loving parents of four children.
After sharing 30 years of marriage Andrea returned to her Heavenly Father June 4, 1997. In November 1998 Jerry married Sheila Dewitt combining families to make their own "Peck-Dewitt Bunch."
Jarrett was active in serving the community through Taylor Fire and Ambulance. He was an active member of the LDS Church serving in various callings. He was employed at the paper mill for 30 years as an instrumentation technician.
Survivors include his mother, M. Maxine Peck of East Alton, Ill., his wife Sheila Peck of Snowflake; eight children, Kevin (Jody) Peck of Safford, Kyle (Julie) Peck of Snowflake, Clint (Cresha) Peck of Taylor, Cori (Blake) Barbara of Fresno, Calif., Malea (Scott) Norton of Safford, Chelsea (Jarrod) McCray of Taylor, Garrett Dewitt of Safford and Kaitlyn Dewitt of Safford; and 17 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his fathers, Ernest Peck and E.R. Kelsey, and first wife Andrea Frost Peck.
A viewing will be held at Silver Creek Mortuary, 745 Paper Mill Road, Friday, April 11, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at the Snowflake Main Street Chapel. There will be a viewing an hour prior to the service.
