POTTER, Joan Marie

Joan Marie Potter passed away on January 14, 2004 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. She was 71 years old. Born Joan Jerde on July 15, 1932 in Clarion, Iowa, she married E. Monte Potter on December 13, 1953 in Clarion. She worked with her husband at Harris Potter Insurance for many years and was retired. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls and also a member of Business of Professional Women. Surviving are son Tod and his wife Michele of Mesa,AZ; a daughter, Katy Clark and her husband, Jere of Phoenix, AZ; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Ashley Potter of Mesa, AZ; a sister-in-law, Jan Jerde of Clarion; and a nephew, Joe Jerde of Clarion. Her parents were Melvin and Mabel (Joan) Jerde. She graduated from the Clarion High School and attended Iowa State University. She was active in Church and Bible studies. Joan's parents, husband and brother Jim Jerde predeceased her. Memorial service was Thursday, January 22, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Iowa Falls, IA. Rev.
