HAMPTON, Torry Van

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ April 14, 2008 Torry Van Ricketts Hampton, 55, died April 3, 2008, at his residence in St. Johns. He was born Feb. 11, 1953, in San Gabriel, Calif., to Stanley Summer Ricketts and Ann Elizabeth Curtis Ricketts. Torry was a longtime resident of Las Vegas, Nev. He and his wife of 17 years settled in St. Johns in 2004. He served as an officer for the River Springs Ranch Property Owners Association. He is survived by his wife, Debra "JD" Hampton of St. Johns; sons Shane Ricketts of LaVerne, Calif., Adam Ricketts of California and Logan Dees of St. Johns; daughter Caitlin Dees of Las Vegas, Nev.; stepmother Gayle Ricketts; brother Stan Ricketts; sister Sandy Brunk; and his twin sister, Tammy. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Thomas Ricketts. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 19, at 2 p.m. at the Hampton residence in River Springs Ranch.
