SIEDENTOP, Marty K.


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ April 17, 2008 Marty K. Siedentop, 63, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at his home in Show Low following a lengthy illness. He was born in Chicago, Ill., Dec. 25, 1944, to Phillip and Kathryn (Johnson) Siedentop. He graduated from Rich East H.S. in Park Forest, Ill., and later earned a B.S in Industrial Design from the Art Center College, Los Angeles, Calif. He worked on the design staff at General Motors in Michigan. He later moved to Colorado where he was self-employed designing and developing residential housing and condominiums. He continued his career in Arizona, specializing in zoning, land planning, product design and merchandising. Mr. Siedentop was of the Catholic faith and had a lifelong passion for cars and drawing. He married his wife, Rosie Marie Sept. 21, 2001. She survives him as well as three sons, Phillip of Brownfield, Colo., Christopher and Jacob of Scottsdale; step-daughter Heather Keleher of Show Low. He is also survived by his mother, Kathryn (Kay) Siedentop of Kankakee, Ill. and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and brother Thomas. A memorial service will be held for Marty at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 20, at Thunder Raceway in Show Low.
