William H. "Slim" Hoffman, 72, of Parker, Ariz., passed away Jan. 26, 2010 in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. He was born April 29, 1937, the son of the late Charles Henry and Annabelle Stump Hoffman.
He graduated from Kingwood High School in 1955 in Kingwood, WV, and then moved to Ohio. He later moved to California, where he became a plumber. His last move was to Parker, where he retired. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was a loving husband, stepfather, brother, brother-in-law and uncle who was loved by anyone who knew him, and a true friend to many.
He is survived by two brothers, Ralph "Bud" Hoffman and wife Donna of Clive, Iowa, and Clarence "Butch" Hoffman of Mt. Olive, WV; three sisters, Anna Marie Moore, Edith "Jean" Weekley and her husband, Raymond, of Kingwood; and Sue Harrison and her husband, Paul, of Tunnelton, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Chris; three brothers, James Ervin and Ronald "Ron" Hoffman, both of Kingwood; Harry "Pete" Hoffman of Sally, NC; three sisters, Evelenne Virginia and Betty Jo Hoffman Ringer, both of Kingwood, and Mary "Mickey" Hoffman Jackson of Lorain, Ohio.
Cremation services provided by Parker Funeral Home of Parker, Ariz. Memorial services have been set for Feb. 28, at 12 noon at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7061 in Parker.
