Parker Pioneer, Parker, Arizona - Published Thursday, February 18, 2010 - Lucille Marquardt Holderman passed away Feb. 6, 2010 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 90. She was born on December 7, 1923 in Meeker County, Minn. She was preceded in death by husband, Raymond Holderman, in 1992; her parents, Edward and Hulda Marquardt and her sister, June Dollerschell. Lucille is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Conser of Modesto, Calif. and Donna (John) Spillane, of Coarsegold, Calif.; grandsons Scott Conser and Cody Spillane; brother Roy Marquardt of Utah, and numerous nieces and nephews. Lucille was raised in Litchfield, Minn. She lived most of her adult life in Modesto, Calif. before she and Ray moved to Bouse, Ariz. in 1991. During WWII, she worked for Douglas Aircraft and became a "California girl" who had no desire to move back to the winters of Minnesota. Lucille enjoyed gardening, crochet and embroidery; she was an accomplished seamstress and a quick thinking player of canasta, pinochle and board games. She had a wicked little sense of humor, twinkling blue eyes and a quick, shy smile.
