Parker Pioneer, Parker, Arizona - Published Wednesday, February 17, 2010 - Patricia Lee O'Steen, 71, died Nov. 25, 2009 at her home with her family by her side after battling advanced lung cancer. At her request no service will be held. "Love is stronger than death even though it can't stop death from happening, but no matter how hard death tries it can't separate people from love. It can't take away our memories either. In the end, life is stronger than death." We love you and miss you very much Mom.... She was born Aug. 16, 1938, in Beaver, Pa., to Robert and Rose McClure where she spent her childhood with her parents and two brothers before moving to southern California. She graduated from Chaffey High School in 1956 and married Gerald W. O'Steen in 1969 and then moved to Parker, Arizona where she spent most of her adult life. Patricia was a homemaker but was also very busy with their motel and restaurant business. She loved her two sweethearts, Gordy and Maria Lee, music, travel, horse racing, gardening and loved spending time with family. She devoted much of her time and energy to her genealogy, as the family center by keeping everyone connected. And she was also a caregiver to her mother until she passed away in March 2009 at age 94. Patricia is survived by her husband Gerald W. O'Steen; her son Walter and his wife Cindy; her daughter Suzanne and her husband Terry; her two stepsons, Rick and his wife Chris, Tom and his wife Joan; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
