Parker Pioneer, Parker, Arizona - Published Wednesday, February 17, 2010 > March 8, 1956 - Jan. 23, 2010 < John Warren Whitehead, 54, was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 8, 1956. He moved to Southern California in 1962. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served as a nuclear weapons technician. John is survived by his wife, Janice Whitehead of Earp, Calif.; his father, Ronald Whitehead of Big River, Calif.; sister Terri Chaves, of Big River, Calif.; nephew Mark Rosenfeld and his wife, Sheila; and his great nephew Ian Rosenfeld. John was well loved and respected by many and will be missed deeply. His journey here on Earth was completed and how he has gone home to rest with the Lord. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Feb. 21, at the Parker Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, No. 7061, 516 Hopi Avenue, Parker.
