Marilyn Ruth Herron, 53, died peacefully Feb. 7, 2010, surrounded by family after a long battle of debilitating health. Marilyn was born Aug. 4, 1956, in Henderson, Nev., to Geraldine Bergen and George Herron. She grew up in Idaho where she graduated and then a few years later married Mike Wilmuth.
Marilyn moved to Parker with her husband in 1987 to be closer to her big brothers Harris Burns and Rex Burns.
Many people knew Marilyn in town as "the tiny gal who rode around on a scooter" visiting with people everywhere she went. She loved animals and her dogs were her babies. She also loved horses and sometimes helped her friends clean stalls and walk them.
Marilyn was a huge fan of Elvis Presley, as well as Stone Cold Steve Austin of the WWF.
Father George Herron and brother John Herron preceded her in death.
She is survived by her mother Geraldine (John) Bergen; brothers Harris (Cheryl) Burns; Rex (Betty) Burns; Bill (Patty) Settle; Danny (Bonnie) Herron; and sister Carolyn (Joe) Thompson.
Marilyn was cherished by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. A celebration of life will be held in Idaho.
