BARBARA JEAN BENNETT Barbara Jean Bennett, age 71, died Aug. 15, 2008 in Prescott Valley, Ariz. She was born April 20, 1937 to Lucille J. and Paul H. Bennett in Grand Junction, Colo. She graduated from Bolder High School in 1955 and attended Colorado University. She earned her BFA and MFA degrees from Arizona State University. A talented artist from childhood, Barbara taught art at Camelback High School in Phoenix before a disabling illness forced her retirement. She continued to produce fine work for many years. Barbara lived in Tempe, Ariz. until moving to Prescott in 2000. She entered Prescott Valley Samaritan Care Center in 2003. She is survived by her sister Nancy Silverstine and husband Lou; cousin Elayne Karickhoff and husband Al; and her extended family at Prescott Valley Samaritan Care Center.
