GILLIAM, Bobby Lee


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ December 31, 2010 Bobby Lee Gilliam, 78, went to Heaven Dec. 25, 2010. He was a resident of Eagar. He was born October 3, 1932 in Hot Springs, Ark. to Lonnie L. Gilliam and Geneva Ruby Stover Gilliam. Bobby was a logger, retiring in 1995. He was a hot rod enthusiast and competed with firearms. He loved God, his family and friends and Ford's. He had no enemies and was loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Myrtle Leona Gilliam of Eagar; sons: John C. Gilliam of Apache Junction; Robert L. Gilliam of Eagar; daughters: Wanda Jean Stevens of Mesa; Rhonda June Lund of Eagar; Nona Lee Cunniff of El Paso, Texas; brother Dennis Gilliam; sister Doris Rogers, 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ray Gilliam, Ralph Gilliam and grandchildren Mandy Lund and Marty Myers. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 28, at the Assembly of God Church in Springerville. Interment followed the services at the Eagar Cemetery. Burnham Mortuary of Eagar handled arrangements.
