Eric Wesley Klefsky, 58, died at his home in Snowflake Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010. He was born July 8, 1952, in Washington, District of Columbia to Robert Steven and Odethe Antje Klefsky.
Eric has lived in many different places including Alaska, Suitland Md., Provo and Salt Lake Utah and has lived in Snowflake for the past 15 years. He went to college at BYU and Utah Military Academy. Eric joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1973 and served a mission in Germany.
Eric also served as a captain in the Vietnam war from 1973-92. The organization he served for was the Army and Military Intelligence. He has worked for the LDS Distribution Center and as Boy Scouts of America Leader.
Some of his hobbies include War Games, history.
Eric was survived by his wife, Jeaneane Schnebly Klefsky of 33 years; two sons: Steven Wesley Klefsky, and Karl Erith Klefsky; seven daughters: Sharon Darlene Munns, Julia Antje Willis, Laura Christine Perez, Norene Luhanna Eilertsen, Monica Ruth Klefsky, Lisa Ramona Holden, and Karen Lucinda Klefsky, 17 grandchildren; two sisters: Norine Gray, and Lenora Dameron (Steven Dameron).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Odethe Klefsky.
A viewing will be held Sunday, Jan. 2, from 6-8 p.m. at Silver Creek Mortuary in Taylor. There will also be a viewing prior to service at 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, and a funeral service at 10 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Main Street Chapel in Snowflake.
