RESNER, Floyd Edward


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Published Friday, December 7, 2007 > Feb. 26, 1924 - Nov. 24, 2007 < Floyd Edward Resner, 83, died on November 24, 2007. Floyd was born in Nicollet County and grew up in Mankato, Minn. He served his country in WWII from 1942-46 in the Naval Air Force and was awarded the Air Medal. He ran businesses in southern Minnesota from 1952-84. Floyd was an avid boater on the Mississippi and Colorado Rivers. He lived in Rochester, Minn., from 1959-84 before retiring to the Florida Keys. He moved to Lake Havasu City in 1996. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, the VFW and Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kay (Thul) Resner; children Sue (Scott) Osborne, Tom (Susan) Resner, Andrew Resner, Mia Resner, Lauren (Tom) Baillargeon, Bill Resner and Betti (Olivier) Breton; 19 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and his sister Angie Bloch. The Memorial service was held Dec. 1, at St. Felix Catholic Church in Wabasha, Minn. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
