Funeral services were Wednesday at the Wickenburg Funeral Home for Joseph Norman “Norm” Garrity of Bagdad, who died of injuries sustain in an Aug. 6 automobile accident in Hillside, Rev. Everett R. Laham officiated.
Mr. Garrity, 56, was born July 29, 1931 in Bowling Green, Ky.
He was employed by Cypress Bagdad for 22 years, moving to Arizona from Anaheim, Calif., where he had worked for Collier Carbon and Chemical Co. as a plant operator.
He was also owner and operator of Tri-block Construction of Bagdad.
Garrity was a past master of the Bagdad Masonic Lodge and a member of Elks Lodge No. 2160 in Wickenburg, and the Phoenix Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes, of Bagdad; a brother, Gerry Garrity of Wickenburg; two daughters, Paula J. Budo of Chandler, and Katherine A. Angermuller of Scottsdale; three step children, Jim, Rhonda and Susie; a grandson, Bobby Evans of Bagdad; and 17 other grandchildren.
