Private memorial services are pending at the Masonic Lodge of Wickenburg for C. R. “Dick” Lloyd of Wickenburg, who died Aug. 10 in the VA Medical Center in Prescott. Masonic Chaplain Rev. Silver Whillhite will officiate.
Mr. Lloyd, 87, was born Oct. 5, 1899 in Reading, Kan.
He married Helen Schedler in 1931 and had lived in Arizona 19 years.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge 152, AF&AM in Lebo, Kan., for 66 years. He was a member of the Carpenter and Painters Union of Seattle Wash., the American Legion, and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Mr. Lloyd served in the Naval Reserve for 16 years and entered the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving in the South Pacific until 1945.
After his retirement in 1968 he moved to the Wickenburg and Congress area.
In addition to his wife, Helen, he is survived by a niece, Glenda Kaye Jones of Burlington, Kan., and several cousins.
