Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona August 20, 1987, page 2 There were no services for Walter M. “Sarge” Scott, of Wickenburg, who died Aug. 10 in Barrows Neurological Center, after suffering a massive stoke. Mr. Scott, 73, was born June 6, 1914 in Charleston, S.C. He had lived in Arizona for the past 25 years. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force, and was employed by the Town of Wickenburg for 10 years. He was a past exalted ruler of Wickenburg Elks Lodge No. 2160. Survivors include his wife, Betty, of Wickenburg and Show Low; a brother, Garnett, of South Carolina and three sisters, Neely, Daisy and Gertrude, all of South Carolina. Contributions may be made to BPOE No. 2160’s Scott Fund or Social Welfare Committee.
