Floyd D. "Pete" Clodfelder, 81, of Pinetop died Friday, March 14, 2008, at RTA Hospice in Lakeside.
Pete was born April 4, 1926, at Covington, Ind., the son of Howard and Verdie (Sprouls) Clodfelder.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and had worked as a truck driver for Ryder-Pie, retiring in 1985. He was a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1001 in Danville, Ill., Veterans of Foreign Wars Lodge 3318 in Attica, Ind., and Wolf Creek Golf Club in Danville, Ill.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Deloris of Pinetop; two daughters, Diane (Dan) Wilson of Lakeside and Dalena (Ron) Miller of Ankeny, Iowa; son Michael (Gayle) Clodfelder of Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren and stepgrandsons, Dean (Marilynn), John, Jim, Erica and Derek (Jessica) and stepgreat-grandson Sean.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 29, at Mountain Pines Baptist Church, 1838B W. Commerce Dr. in Lakeside (off Porter Mountain Road). A second service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, April 11, at the Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, Ind., with internment to follow.
