Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Published Friday, December 7, 2007 - Ellen Esther (Bauman) Geiman was born Dec. 17, 1922, to Arthur and Margaret Bauman in Saarbrucken, Germany. She was called home to be with the Lord Friday, Nov. 30, 2007 in Lake Havasu City. Ellen immigrated to the United States from Saarbrucken, Germany to Chicago, Ill., in 1944. She obtained her citizenship in the United States. She later moved to Southern California where she met and married Eddie Frank Russell. To this union three children were born. Eddie Frank Russell passed away on March 12, 1984. She was later married to John 'Jack' Geiman, who also preceded her in death. Ellen made Lake Havasu City her home 12 years ago from Southern California. Ellen's memory will be forever cherished by her three children; Ronald (Ana) Russell, of Santa Fe Springs, Calif., Claudia (Paul) Foley, of Lake Havasu City, and David (Evelyn) Russell, of Yorba Linda, Calif.; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a twin sister, Erica Hall. Ellen accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and was baptized on July 2, 1995, at First Southern Baptist Church of Lake Havasu City. She had a great love for her church family, especially her Sunday school class and her weekly Bible study class. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m., at First Southern Baptist Church of Lake Havasu City with Pastor Leroy Smith officiating. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Havasu at P.O. Box 597, 365 S. Lake Havasu Ave. Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405 or to the Building fund of Southern Baptist Church at 113 N. Acoma Blvd. Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.
