Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, September 22, 2008 Billie S. Lassiter, age 80, of Prescott, Ariz., died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at Las Fuentes Care Center. Billie was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Havana, Ark., to Ezra and Ocie Buckman. Billie moved from Norwalk, Calif., to Chino Valley in 1991 with her husband of 58 years, James. Billie is survived by her sons, Ray and his wife Sandi of Norwalk, Calif., Mike and his wife Robin of Prescott; grandchildren, Lindsay and Jeff Newnum, Romney and Tom Randa and Adam and Alynn Lassiter all of the Prescott area; great-grandchildren, Tia, Makenna, Spencer, Carson, Brody, Luke, Annie and Jackson; sister, Betty Blaylock of Hazen, Ark.; and brother James Buckman of Bullhead City, Ariz. Her husband preceded her in death. Funeral services will take place at the Rose Hills Mortuary in Whittier, Calif. The Hampton Funeral Home of Prescott was entrusted with the arrangements.
