HAMILTON, John Morton

Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona October 29, 1987, page 2-A Graveside services were Monday at the Wickenburg Cemetery for John Morton Hamilton, 81, of Battle Mountain, Nev. Rev. Dan Masterson officiated. Mr. Hamilton died Oct. 24 in Sun City. He was born May 31, 1906 in Canton, Ohio. Mr. Hamilton had a degree in education and before coming to Arizona ranched and farmed in Oregon. He worked for the Arizona Highway Department in 1953 at Wikieup. He later moved to the Santa Maria Highway maintenance yard, and retired from the highway department in Kingman in 1976. Survivors include a son, John Hamilton, Jr. of Wickenburg; a daughter, Louise Dodson of Battle Mountain, Nev.; four brothers, Joe, Jim, Rod and Bill, all out of state; and four grandchildren, Tracy, Dodson, Donya Dodson and Tammy Dodson of Nevada and Trey Hamilton of Buckeye.
