HENSON, Elbert Malloy (Jack)


Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona November 12, 1987, page 2-A Graveside services were Tuesday at Holy Cross Cemetery in west Phoenix for Elbert Malloy “Jack” Henson, 85, who died Nov. 7 in the Wickenburg Nursing Home Pastor Bruce McQueen officiated. Mr. Henson was born Feb. 25, 1902 in Aubrey, Texas. He married his wife, Josephine, who survives him, in Blythe, Calif., March 21. 1921. The couple raised their family in Southern California. Mr. Henson had lived in Arizona for the past 10 years. He worked many years as a truck driver, retiring in 1965. The company he drove for maintained rented rooms across from the Best Western Motel in Wickenburg in the 1930s. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Irene Brown and Joanna Rutz; a son James Henson; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
