Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona December 3, 1987, page 2-A Services were Wednesday at the Wickenburg Funeral Home for Ellen Norrean States, 66, who died Nov. 29 in Valley View Hospital in Youngtown, following a long illness. Dr. Bert Follmar of Calvary Baptist Church of Wickenburg officiated. She was born Aug. 1, 1921 in Flora, Ill. She had lived in Arizona for the past eight years. Mrs. States and her husband, Frank, who preceded her in death, enjoyed traveling and collecting rock and artifacts across the West. The couple was expert in lapidary skills and Mrs. States was also excellent in crafts, including embroidery and quilting. Survivors include a son, Gene States of Phoenix; three sisters, Nadean Holleman of Centralia, Ill. Alice Vest of Centralia, and Kathryn Caudle of Patoka, Ill.; a brother, Fred Mayberry of Gournee, Ill; two aunts; three uncles and numerous nieces and nephews. Contributions may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
